Responsibilities The Senior Director, Software Development, manages software development functions and team(s) within the organization. This position leads the creation, improvement and operations of cloud-based products and services. This person innovates and delivers software that improves upon key pillars of the corporate strategy, and works with business and technology leadership to set direction. This role is within the Omnichannel IT Group. The Omnichannel IT Group is responsible for all aspects of our business systems, such as agent-led customer care, automated customer care, billing, sales, offer management, product catalog, checkout, order management and other services that enable sales and care online. The ideal candidate has experience working in one or more of the functional areas of ecommerce, a strong technical background and experience managing multiple large technology teams under one area. Responsibiltlies Directs a function or project that adds value to the business (i.e. increased revenue or reduced costs). Manages and defines success metrics and KPIs associated with the same. Oversees organizational design and efficiency of functional areas and groups. Manages to a budget for a project or functional area(s) when assigned Leads the design of cross-functional features or is otherwise influential in the efforts of other leaders. Advocates for efficient and effective solutions in any and all teams (not just their own). Performs trade-off/rationalization analysis for delivery schedules and resource management across functional areas of responsibility Leads the design of new applications and technology or is otherwise influential in the design efforts of other leaders through collaboration and participation in the discovery, documentation and validation designs before and during software development. Keeps abreast of new technology patterns and trends. Leads the evolution of company standards and technology (tools, conventions and design patterns) Manages end-to-end development of software and solutions for omnichannel applications and related technologies. Ensures successful delivery of solutions. Collaborates with other managers and consistently and effectively communicates across the organization and up the leadership chain. Leads design and/or code reviews. Drives initiatives for operational improvement and ensures team members do the same. Establishes and monitors metrics of technical and business importance that are generated within assigned system and/or functional area. Mentors Directors, Managers of Software Development Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates Qualifications Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, a related technical or scientific field, or equivalent experience 15
years of technology experience 10
years managing individual contributors At least 5 years managing other managers. Analysis, design, coding and implementation of large-scale applications. Solid knowledge of algorithms, data structures and complexity theory Participation through completion of a complex software project Ability to effectively write so requirements are clear and readily understood
Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
Minimum Qualification
Software Development, Technology ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
