Position Overview Ralph Lauren is seeking a Styling Assistant for our digital studio in Long Island City.
The Styling Assistant is responsible for assisting the women's stylists on e-commerce product shoots and as business needs support men's and kid's.
The Styling Assistant will work closely with on and off set teams in a fast paced, high volume, studio environment.
When not shooting, the Styling Assistant will be responsible for maintaining a clean and well-organized fashion closet, organizing styling supplies and resources, and coordinating upcoming product shoots with the samples team.
The position is a great training opportunity for candidates with some styling or fashion experience looking to expand their craft by supporting multiple brands.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist Ralph Lauren Stylists on women's e-commerce brand shoots.
Collaborate with stylists prior to shoots to identify accessories for shoot.
Ensure all accessories are set up on set prior to shoot and put away post-shoot.
Support other areas as needed such as men's and kids.
Own the scanning and tracking of product within the studio and report on daily shot counts to the production team.
Own Complete the look, making sure all samples have tags, and product regions align.
Steam samples on set and manage hand tags during shoot.
Maintain and keep organized accessories within the fashion closet.
Organize and order styling supplies.
Assist as needed in other areas (showroom breakdowns, sample returns).
Train freelance styling assistants by keeping an up-to-date daily task sheet.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge Experience in fashion styling and/or visual merchandising.
E-commerce styling a plus Excellent organization and communication skills (verbal, written) Ability to take initiative and execute with little supervision Excellent attention to detail Experience with Excel, Mac, and Microsoft Office Ability to lift and move up to 49lbs and stand walk during shifts up to 8-10 hours long Ralph Lauren will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records in a manner consistent with the requirements of the law, including any applicable fair chance laws.
