North Fork Express is currently seeking a qualified bookkeeper as an assistant to the President and controller. The ideal candidate will process strong communication and interpersonal skills and be knowledgeable in the following areas:
Prepare bank reconciliations for review and approval
Assist with year-end general ledger accuracy, balance sheet and account payable
Assist with customer invoicing & collections
Assist with applying payments & credits
Monitor completion of purchase orders work with Accounts Payable, Purchaser and maintenance dept.
Ability to multi-task
Provide administrative support to company owner and controller
Scan and file documents as needed
Knowledge of payroll and reporting
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficient in QuickBooksAssistant controller

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
