Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing client relationships, and driving sales in a specific therapeutic area for patients with specific needs. SAM's will concentrate their efforts on targeted prescribers. SAM's will follow the designated plan of action (POA) communicated on a semi-annual basis and as directed by the Regional Sales Director (RSD). They will be accountable to meet or exceed goals, and ranked according to their sales performance.
Responsibility
Meets sales goals and revenue expectations
Create and execute a business plan for their geography
Regular office visits to targeted practitioners, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies
Update all relevant tracking databases
Completion and submission of reports
Timely completion of expenses and paper work
Adherence to Auxilium' Code of Conduct and Pharma Guidelines
Attendance at various meetings (medical and company sponsored)
Skills and Behaviors
Possesses strong product and therapeutic category expertise
Understands delivery and timeliness of disease-state treatments
Able to manage multiple priorities
Possess strong selling skills with the ability to
Create customized sales approaches based on physician needs & behaviors
Ask key questions at key times
Sell injectable directly to the office
Able to sell using Evidence-based Selling techniques
Articulates key findings of clinical studies
Understands clinical research methodology
Demonstrates strong relationship-building skills within compnay and client organizations
Ability to execute account management strategies
Understands reimbursements, J-codes, benefits and formularies
Works independently, efficiently and cooperatively in a fast-paced working environment
Understands office financial drivers; possesses business acumen
Partners with orthopaedic surgeons to execute speaker programs
Training and Experience
Four year college degree required
Injectable/Orthopedic/Biologics experience preferred
2 years of Account Management experience
3-5 years of Sales experience
Ability to lift up to 10 poundsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
