What You'll Do:
Performs a variety ofsecretarial duties under direct supervision, in any assigned department ornursing unit
Answers telephone, screens callers, relay messages and greets visitors.
Serves as an intermediary between supervisor and other departmental staff by transmitting written and oral requests, messages and instructions.
Maintains departmental employee files, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
Initiates and follows through on human resources and payroll transactions. May generates weekly payroll submission.
Maintains liaison with human resources and payroll to coordinate and resolve issues and problems.
Prepares and follows up on purchase orders, change orders, check requests and petty cash vouchers.
Processes and follows up on tuition and other forms of reimbursement for assigned staff.
May track expiration dates of staff's professional licensure, and notify staff of upcoming license expiration date to prevent suspension.
Opens, sorts and prioritizes mail. Picks up and delivers materials as required.
What You'll Bring:
High School diploma orequivalent education.
Prior experience as asecretary. Excellent organizational and typing skills.
Require knowledge ofPC software (Word, Excel, Power Point).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
