Roundsman in Training
Recipe for Success FreshDirect is currently seeking a Roundsman in Training in the New York City area. This position is responsible for learning all positions of the day to day production of the specific HMR work center, 9hrs/day and 5 days/week, ensuring the highest level quality of service provided by our associates, while supporting the policies, goal, and objectives of the company.
Key ingredients
Must be able to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
1-2 years of food service experience
Basic computer knowledge
Experience with Cook & Chill process a plus
Safe Knife skills, kitchen safety awareness
NYC Food Protection Certificate or equivalent a big plus
Work in a cold environment.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards
Knowledge of FIFO, inventory, labeling, and Food Safety
Ability to learn and comply with General Manufacturing Practices
Reliable, eager to learn, self-driven individual
Good communication skills
Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture
